Following Pope Leo XIV's pilgrimage to Lourdes, renewed attention is being focused on one of the world's most famous pilgrimage sites. Gabe Donovan, a pilgrim who visited Lourdes looking for healing, shares what he remembers about that pilgrimage, his belief in a Lourdes miracle, and what it means to welcome the relics of St. Bernadette of Lourdes to the Villanova campus he now calls home.
During Pope Leo XIV's visit to Lourdes, the relics of St. Bernadette arrived at Villanova University, where Pope Leo graduated. Father Bernie Scianna, Villanova's Vice President for Mission and Ministry, discusses how Pope Leo's pilgrimage to Lourdes adds special significance to the relic tour, what is drawing students to encounter the relics, and why it is so meaningful to be physically present with the relics of a saint.
